Role
 
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Finance function, ensuring the company's economic and financial control, regulatory compliance and support of management's strategic decisions; He/She will play a key role in the liaison between the country and the HQ, ensuring alignment with group guidelines and objectives.

The CFO will manage both the Accounting and Controlling functions, with a solid experience in both areas. He/She will also coordinate the Customer Service structure and act as Business Partner to the Management Team, the General Manager and the Group CFO.
 
  • Oversee Italy's economic and financial strategy, in cooperation with the General Manager Italy and in line with Group guidelines.
  • Lead and coordinate planning and management control for Italy (including production plants) and accounting activities, with the support of corporate functions; supervise treasury and customer service operations.
  • Analyse and actively promote improvements in profitability, margins by product and channel, channel/brand/format mix, financial KPIs and overall company performance.
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy and compliance with corporate financial processes and guidelines and oversee statutory and consolidated accounting closures in accordance with international standards.

Key Qualifications
  • Degree in Economics, Finance or a related field; an MBA or equivalent degree is a plus.
  • 20 years of previous experience in financial roles, ideally in international contexts and in the Food & Beverage or FMCG sectors.
  • Excellent analytical skills; proven experience in management control and financial planning; good accounting knowledge, with activities supported by the Group Finance Team
  • Proven experience in business partnerships, team leadership and international stakeholder relationship management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: dynamic, team-oriented, with strong leadership and negotiation skills, able to deal effectively with functional leaders (e.g. Sales, Supply Chain, etc.).
  • Currently serving as CFO in a smaller but international company, or as Deputy CFO in a larger, complex and global organisation.
  • Experience in managing M&A processes and opportunities is a plus. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
