A multinational industrial company is looking for a EMEA Purchasing Director, to act as a strategic partner to the business and to improve global sourcing strategies.
Role
  • Lead the Direct and Indirect Materials Supply teams with full responsibility for the EMEA Strategic Supply Chain;
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to support the company’s goals for cost reduction, quality improvement and innovation;
  • Understand end-to-end business goals, anticipating EMEA Supply Chain related issues;
  • Lead cross-fuctional teams in supplier selection, qualification and negotiation to establish and protect the company’s competitive advantage;
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with relevant laws, regulation and company policies.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain and Scourcing, preferably acquired in a demanding, muticultural enviroment;
  • Experience in driving the short term action planning process and a system for progres follow-up and reporting.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams in multiple locations;
  • Ability to lead change initiatives and drive continuous improvement in operations;
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement techniques.
