Our client is an industrial Group specialized in surface treatments that provide innovative solutions for different materials with multiple plants in Italy.
We have been commissioned to research:

GROUP CFO

Place of Work: Lombardia

Role
 
The selected candidate will report directly to the CEO of the Group and will be responsible for coordinating the entire finance structure. The candidate will also maintain constant relations with the Investment Fund.


Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Supervise the preparation and periodic revisions of the company’s budget, identifying any critical issues and proposing corrective actions.
  • Oversee the monthly closing process, business performance analysis, and related reporting, coordinating the relevant controlling functions.
  • Manage the financial control of the Group/companies cost centers by systematically collecting and analysing all relevant economic data.
  • Collaborate with other departments in drafting the company’s management financial statements and related annexes, in accordance with Group-defined standards.
  • Work closely with management/PE to define measures and action plans aimed at improving profitability and cash performance.
  • Support the CEO in defining the company’s financial and economic strategies.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, as well as planning and controlling financial flows and treasury activities. Lead refinancing of the business when required.
  • Carry out continuous financial controlling activities, ensuring compliance with monthly reporting requirements, monitoring company performance through actual vs. budget analysis, and acting as a key point of contact for top management.
  • Oversee the proper closing of statutory financial statements and, with the support of external accountants, ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Lead and coordinate the Finance, Administration, and Controlling team supervising their activities while fostering their professional growth and development; managing functionally the local Admin & Finance Manager of the sister companies/branches.
  • Define admin and finance guidelines for all the Group/companies.
  • Lead the integration of newly acquired companies from a financial perspective (processes, systems and organization) to become an integral part of the Group.
  • Manage relationships with external consultants regarding tax, regulatory, and legal matters.
  • Implement and develop a new ERP for all the Group and subsidiaries to make all the processes uniform.

Key Qualifications
  • Degree in Economics or equivalent background.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in a similar role within structured organizations with foreign subsidiaries or controlled companies.
  • Previous international experience in structured companies (with the presence/participation of an investment fund).
  • Analysis, controlling and reporting skills.
  • Specific experience in ERP’s implementation.
  • Strong ability to foster team cohesion and collaboration.
  • Results-driven mindset and ability to work closely with top management.
  • Leadership skills with a cross-functional problem-solving approach.
  • Solid and authoritative professional profile.
  • Fluent English.
  • Open to business travel as required.
