For a major multinational operating in the Life Sciences sector, we are looking for a Supply Chain Director to oversee planning and logistics activities within a complex and structured production environment. The company is internationally recognized for its commitment to innovation and for providing high-quality health products globally.
 

Role
 
This position is part of the leadership team of a key manufacturing site in Italy, reporting to the Site Head and working closely with global supply chain functions. The role involves managing a team of approximately 20 professionals, ensuring operational continuity, process efficiency, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead all planning activities to ensure production schedules are met and products are available to serve market needs.
  • Oversee inventory management, guaranteeing availability of materials and finished products to support manufacturing and customer service levels.
  • Coordinate logistics operations and warehouse management, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Monitor and improve forecasting, production planning, and material requirements processes.
  • Contribute to global initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain performance and standardizing practices across sites.
  • Support business planning processes, integrating operational plans with broader site strategies.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and audit readiness, ensuring all activities meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, support, and motivate the team, enhancing collaboration, skills, and overall performance

Key Qualifications
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related scientific field; an MBA is a plus.
  • Solid experience in supply chain roles within structured industrial contexts, preferably in pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and overseeing complex operations.
  • Experience in international environments and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with effective communication abilities.
  • Fluent English is essential
